Meet Steve

Steve Wasserman joined the firm litigation support staff in 1989 and became a partner in 1998. In addition to his duties as managing partner, he maintains a full-time practice specializing in family law and civil litigation forensic accounting matters. Steve performs a wide range of litigation accounting services including business appraisals, damage analyses, gross cash flow available for support, net spendable evaluations, pension plans allocations, tracing of separate and community property funds and analysis of reimbursement claims. He regularly testifies as an expert witness in Los Angeles and Orange County Superior Courts.

Steve is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA.) He was awarded the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation and the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) accreditation by the AICPA.

He has lectured on various forensic accounting topics to the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He has also authored numerous articles for such publications as the Los Angeles Daily Journal, the Los Angeles County Bar Family Law Symposium Book and Practice Pointers book.

Steve graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. After graduation, he joined a national firm as a litigation consultant where he provided financial consulting services for companies involved in commercial disputes and litigation, regulatory matters, public contracts and other business problems. Later, he worked as a senior financial consultant at a “Big Four” accounting firm in their financial consulting services group, specializing in claims and disputes and bankruptcy matters.
