His expertise extends to forensic accounting and litigation support, where he specializes in fraud investigations, forensic analyses, and economic damages assessments. As a trusted expert witness in Federal and State courts, Gary has testified in business litigation, trust and estate disputes, criminal matters, and bankruptcy proceedings. His investigative work has included fraud detection, royalty audits, partnership disputes, bankruptcy investigations, misappropriations of funds, and other complex commercial conflicts.

A leader in the accounting profession, Gary is actively involved in shaping practice standards and advancing education. He serves as Chair of the Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards Technical Committee, the California Society of CPAs’ highest-level committee on accounting and auditing matters. He contributes as a conference planner for the annual CalCPA Education Foundation Accounting and Auditing Conference and teaches undergraduate accounting courses at UCLA Extension. Gary earned his B.A. in Economics from UC San Diego and a Master of Accounting degree from USC. Before joining Gursey | Schneider, he was an Audit Senior Manager at a Big Four accounting firm, where he managed audits, SEC filings, and complex financial reporting. He also served as the firm’s National Assurance Instructor, teaching audit methodology and developing professional training programs.

Outside the office, Gary is deeply committed to his community. He serves as Treasurer and Board Member of his synagogue, sits on the audit committee of his national fraternity, and volunteers with several community outreach and professional committees of the California Society of CPAs. In his personal time, Gary enjoys traveling and spending time with his family, including three and a half cats.
