Meet Micaela

Micaela Tetangco is the firm’s People Operations Manager, bringing over a decade of Human Resources experience across a range of industries, including healthcare, hospitality, and professional services. At Gursey, Micaela plays a key role in supporting our team, guiding employees through health and welfare benefits, streamlining onboarding processes, and enhancing the overall employee experience.

Micaela holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where she graduated cum laude and was an active member of the Business Honors Association. She went on to earn her MBA from Kansas Wesleyan University in 2020, graduating summa cum laude.

A native of Chatsworth, CA, Micaela now lives in Los Angeles. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, reading, and traveling. She also loves discovering local hidden gems, whether it’s through thrift shopping, catching a movie, or attending live music events. Micaela is the second of five siblings and shares her home with two beloved dogs, Milo and Libby.

If you were arrested with no explanation, what would your friends and family assume you had done?

They would assume I took all the dogs I met to on the street.

What’s the most ridiculous fact you know?

Hippos can run underwater and hold their breath for up to 30 minutes, but they cannot swim.

Among your friends or family, what are you famous for?

My very detailed travel itineraries. I am a Type A planner; if you ever had to travel with me, all you have to do is pack your things and show up. I’ll take it from there!
