Meet Yishai

Yishai Kabaker is a Partner in Gursey’s Tax and Accounting department. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Stanford University and completed the UCLA Extension Program in Accounting.

Yishai has honed his skills focusing on high net worth taxation which he has practiced for the last eight years with Gursey.  Combined with his prior experience in high net worth business management, Yishai is a skilled consultant for his high net worth clients.

He loves the outdoors and has a great fondness for Diddy Riese cookies.  As a baker himself, he is known for his pumpkin chiffon pie, baklava, and chocolate chip cookies.

What’s your go-to karaoke song?

I would say “Bohemian Rhapsody”, but really it’s “Go The Distance” from Disney’s Hercules

What would be your first question after waking up from being cryogenically frozen for 100 years?

What does the geopolitical balance of powers look like these days?

When do you truly feel alive?

When I am out in some secluded spot in nature hiking or skiing and I get to behold how majestic the world is.

What bends your mind every time you think about it?

When you look up at the night sky (and if you can actually see stars), you are actually witnessing those stars as they were millions of years ago. Since light is limited to light-speed the night sky is an amalgamation of different stars at different ages depending on their distance from earth.
